Korzo Haus has the best burger in the east village! 178 E 7th St (between Avenue A & Avenue B) The burger was wrapped in a deep fried Hungarian dough. Innovation aside, the dough was light and crispy which I found surprising. There's nothing more annoying than being stuck with a soggy/greasy bun when you are trying to enjoy the final few bites of you meal. Beef Patty: You know that the burger is legit when the patty is made to order and each bite is tender without losing points on texture. The patty was cooked to perfect medium rare (warm red center that has just enough juice oozing when you bite into it w/out leaving you a oily mustache...) with the right amount of seasoning that doesn't overpower the flavor of the meat. They also have Happy Hour during the week that ends at 7PM? 1 original Krozo burger w/ a pint of organic ale comes out to be only $12. My friend and I split the burger and the halusky with 2 organic ales and the bill was only $23.

I randomly stopped for a burger in the east village at a place called Tallgrass Burger.  The reviews of this place aren't very good but I actually really liked it.  It's a reasonable price and it's all from grass fed cattle so I can feel better about it. "
